Sign-up and distribution of farmers’ market senior coupons will take place Tuesday, June 11, and Wednesday, June 12, from 8:30 to 10:30 am at the Greenewood Community Center at 401 West Greenewood Road in Jefferson.
The program is available to persons age 60 and older (MUST be 60 or older) who are single with a yearly income less than $23,107 or married with a combined yearly income less than $31,284.
Persons will need to provide their birth date and the last four numbers of their social security number at sign-up.
Coupons can be redeemed for produce at Iowa farmers’ markets now through Oct. 31, 2019. Most vendors at the Greene County farmers market in Jefferson and also Deal’s Orchard can accept the coupons.
